Stacks lumber in carts, bundles, or stacks by performing the following duties.
Required to follow all safety rules and regulations.
Responsible for positioning sticks at Stacker in a manner as to reduce bowing, stack leaning, and appearance.
Stack lumber into carts according to grade and lengths. Records data on lumber such as
grade and date.
Perform all clean up duties assigned by supervisor. Must comply with all quality standards and issues. Required to work in other areas of production and other duties when needed.
Must be willing to work in the Stick Stacker area as required by your supervisor.
High School Diploma or GED
No experience necessary
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Work near moving mechanical parts.
Is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
Work in a normally loud / noisy work environment.
