Responsibilities

PRODUCTION & SAMPLE DESIGN TECHNICIAN - North GA - A Technical Design Construction role - Working within our Design Studio to manage & build our production & Strike-off design files, from running line & custom development through to our manufacturing processes.

  • Working within our Light Lab (Design Studio), Dalton, GA, between our Design Team & Manufacturing departments & reporting into Sr departmental leadership.

  • Build & Manage technical design files in accordance with Mohawk’s design & equipment guidelines. Product types to include (Printed, CYP, Definity & Tufted) constructions.

  • Prepare Strike-off sample sections & production design files, monitor quality, editing where needed & control adherences to Mohawk’s Product & Design Rules.

  • Consultant with Design Department in all matters regarding specific technical & Production design issues.

  • Set up and participate in reviews of finished trials, making recommendations and developing solutions to issues as needed.

  • Liaison with all North Ga manufacturing & strike-off departments as needed.

  • Keep up to date with latest design software technology and machine capabilities.

  • Keep accurate records, manage the storage of design files and all sample sections.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalency required.

  • Three to five years tufted product construction & equipment operation experience (CYP, MLCL, Color Point, Scrolls)

  • Tufted design drafting & editing skills.

  • Good computer skills & knowledge of (Word, Excel & Adobe tools)

  • Focus on accuracy, data management & quality control

  • Good interpersonal skills & team player attitude.

  • Display a high level of customer service skills

  • Ability of multi-task & thrive in a fast paced & hi energy environment.

  • Quickly adapt to execute multiple roles throughout the day.
