Mohawk Industries Product Manager Commercial in DALTON, Georgia

Overview

Responsibilities

Responsible for the strategic product management and marketing direction for assigned commercial hard flooring categories. This includes conducting developing market research, product and price point positioning and driving growth of assigned product categories through all channels of distribution. May be responsible for one or multiple product categories.

  • Drive product category growth in volume and revenue.

  • Conduct market research and compile information for market, channel and product trend analysis both domestically and globally. Gather intelligence on competitive product, pricing and promotion and compile analysis in each product category leading to the development of product growth strategies.

  • Establish key contacts with field sales and dealer network to enhance market research/market intelligence collection.

  • Establish product strategies to ensure product placement through all channels of distribution.

  • Develop & oversee execution of short and long-term product innovation /development roadmaps

  • Owe the SKU management process: annual financial budgets, monthly volume forecast updates, review inventory positions, pricing approvals, new product recommendations (adds and deletes); and product commercialization.

  • Create new product positioning and establish recommended price points /slope.

  • Identify promotional opportunities needed to balance product sales to manufacturing capacities.

  • Establish strong collaborative working relationships with all internal customers (i.e. Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Planning, Sales Operations, and Mill /Operations).

  • Conduct customer product presentations and field sales/dealer training.

  • Attend and participate at National and Regional Conventions/Shows.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Up to 25% travel required; Limited international travel may occur.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree with 3+years successful business development, sales and/or product managment experience

  • Previous project management experience in a cross-functional environment is required. Involving successfully organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation while fostering team collaboration and task commitment.

  • Prefer demonstrated experience and working knowledge of the flooring industry, products and channels.

  • Prefer sales, marketing or product management experience in commercial markets and/or channels

  • Prefer working experience in resilient flooring (LVT, Sheet Vinyl, Rubber) with either residential or commercial markets

  • Ability to manage/implement projects and contributes to concept development, and ability to identify, analyze and resolve business issues through solution-oriented projects.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret/ adapt system procedures or operating concepts to fit new situations.

  • Creative thinker – innovative and visionary. Ability to conceptualize, organize and execute new initiatives.

  • Strong organizational skills – attention to detail and Self-Motivator – willing to take the initiative.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while traveling to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames.

  • Ability to work well in an autonomous, unstructured environment.

  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in the following areas: Microsoft Office Suite

Associates Supervised:

  • May lead department projects providing work guidance to junior team members in areas such as checking work, answering questions, and providing performance information to management. May include indirect reporting relationships while working on major projects.
