Mohawk Industries Product Development Custom Specialist I in DALTON, Georgia



Compile accurate production jobs while minimizing mistakes for a wide array of customers. Use of Nedgraphics Texcelle Software program to create PDI production files.

  • Examine order and compare to plans and comp roll sheets to ensure accuracy of measurements, sizes, yardage and colors. Ensure that all patterns fit in planned carpet width and that patterns repeat properly. Measure and examine all created rugs to verify accuracy to plans.

  • Accurately read and interpret plans pertaining to the hospitality carpet process which details the specific designs to use and how they should be created (including the size of the rug(s)/placement of the rugs by floor, room, number of rugs needed, etc.).

  • Use plans and the specific designs (created by our Design Department) requested, along with approved samples to compile the actual production orders for our PDI printers.

  • Requires individual to scale and rescale patterns, calculate necessary overage, and color patterns to match samples for all production orders.

  • Individual must also complete Mohawk Home Production, Sample and Combination Orders. This including the design of rug layouts, entering all patterns, sizes, colors and splits in the AS400.

  • Individual will work with multiple departments to accomplish this job.


  • Some college or 5 years’ experience in hospitality carpet

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Proficiency in AS400

  • Prior experience using Nedgraphics Design Software is required

  • Position to be on call as needed
