3rd Shift

General Job description:

This candidate must be willing and able to stand on their feet for long periods of time and work flexible hours.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Capable to run a number of production rolls including, but not limited to:

  • Ability to match colors as required through on-line grading. Must work with Quality Department to improve quality of the product.

  • Make adjustments to manage ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the dryers.

  • Understand how to control tensions in the press.

  • Understand various mechanical settings such as chill rollers, front-to-back skew, side-to-side settings, and print head leveling.

  • Ability to load and unload cylinders in the press through the operation of a hoist.

  • Ability to achieve and maintain registration during production. Must be proficient with registration.

  • Ability to identify, prevent, and eliminate print defects by preparing the press for production through proficiency in machine setup. Set up, monitor, and adjust the printing process through the main control panel.

  • Proficient in knowing how to correct unexpected malfunctions as they occur.

  • Must be able to complete all required documentation during the shift.

  • Proficient in training new hires.

  • Oil and clean the press. Make minor repairs.

  • Perform preventative maintenance.

  • Provided help in making ink backups when needed.

This candidate must be willing and able to stand on their feet for long periods of time and work flexible hours.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the operation of production machinery and monitoring products. Basic understanding of print is a plus.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Flexible for all shifts.

  • Computer efficient.

  • General Labor, Production Worker and Can lift to 60 lbs.
