Mohawk Industries Talent and Organizational Development Manager in CALHOUN, Georgia



Manage the development, integration, implementation and analysis of Mohawk FNA Leadership Development Programs, to support the organization’s development goals. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned


  • Program Planning, Design and Development

  • Assess the goals and objectives of the Flooring North America division to align quality leadership development programs with organizational development needs.

  • Develop and implement practices that ensure the effective use of classroom, e-learning, coaching, and other training and development methods.

  • Verify the quality of programs, the timeliness of program development and relevance to current trends and practices.

  • Program Delivery, Management and Evaluation

  • Design and deliver Instructor-led, computer-based training and blended learning solutions to address identified needs.Develop sustainability measures to ensure the learning continues outside of the delivered learning sessions.

  • Seek and obtain the services of external training consultants and/or presenters as necessary.

  • Monitor, measure, evaluate and report on Program effectiveness, training program content, and participant satisfaction. Make appropriate adjustments based on ongoing evaluation and feedback.

  • Program Communications

  • Lead the program launch, including marketing and communication campaigns, in partnership with corporate communications.

  • Prepare and/or deliver professional written and verbal communications and/or presentations to team members, program participants and program sponsors.

  • Ensure communication plans are in place for appropriate follow-up and status reports.

  • Coordination production, distribution and archiving of electronic and hard copy materials required for each program.

  • Coordinate the development of presentations and materials in partnership including: research and information assimilation, metrics, reports, PowerPoint slides, presentation charts, media, manuals and other materials.

  • Develop communication and engagement plans to include all program stakeholders. Develop and communicate strategies to retain high performing and critical employees through focused reward, recognition and development activities.

  • Design and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related area required. Master’s degree in Organizational Development a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of Leadership Development Programming

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience

  • Demonstrated abilities in design and development skills, with experience in analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE).

  • Excellent facilitation, public speaking, interpersonal, and communication skills required.

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory.

  • Must be very “hands on” and demonstrate leadership by example.


  • The ability to cultivate relationships with senior-level management and a demonstrated ability to lead projects involving assessment, program design, competency model building, and organizational development.

  • Problem solving skills to successfully resolve issues that arise each day while eliminating obstacles to success in ongoing projects

  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills. A team player with the ability to work in concert with others to accomplish objectives and goals.

  • Ability to build solid working relationships across divisions/functions; ability to gain agreement on issues and next steps from diverse audiences.

  • Superior verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management, internal and external customers

  • Ability to present information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences; to formulate action plans and timelines and manage projects to those plans, and to track multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Ability to convene and facilitate teams and to negotiate deliverables with a wide range of program constituents and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, work well under deadline pressure and maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to adapt successfully to change and established priorities.

  • Ability and willingness to accept responsibility. Willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions. Persistence and willingness to take calculated risks, to stimulate, and to market and sell new ideas within the organization.
