Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Must have experience in repairing carpet

  • Must have served as a certified inspector on a repair or finishing department

  • Must have AS400 and computer skills necessary to teach the three shifts in reference to properly operating in compliance with establish procedures

  • Insure carpet requiring repaired is located and delivered in a timely manner to maintain a consistent flow

  • Coordinate with other plants needing repair to establish a priority level and to develop space requirement plans

  • Must be a good communicator and problem solver

  • Delegate duties for employees in department

  • Responsible for ensuring above duties are correctly performed

  • Provide schedule of carpet production runs to all work stations on dye range

  • Assist LTO as needed by helping them find misplaced rolls

  • Observe any mechanical problems with machines and report to maintenance

  • Make regular inspection of carpet in progress

  • Supervise the cleaning of equipment and department

  • Must be able to work any shifts requiring assistance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of entire fluid dye operation

  • Ability to climb stairs

  • Ability to work at heights of 15 feet

  • Must have good communication and problem solving skills

  • Computer / data entry skills

  • Good reading comprehension skills
