Shift: Monday-Friday 10am-7pm

Objective: Coordinates the shipping and/or receiving of finished goods and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties for the RDC. Coordinates and maintains facility services, equipment and files. Prepares daily/weekly reports on RDC statistics.

Major Functions & Scope:

  • Prepares bill of lading, invoices, orders and other records for daily shipments.

  • Checks and verifies the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.

  • Serves as point of contact for carriers with any shipping or receiving related questions and makes appointments.

  • Coordinates customer pick-ups for small orders.

  • Researches pick ticket problems.

  • Maintain and update Host & WMS system files and Excel spreadsheets and other clerical duties assigned.

  • Answers and screens incoming calls and places calls as may be requested.

  • Assists in word processing, spreadsheet applications and graphical applications as required.

  • Develops and maintains filing system to meet recordkeeping needs.

  • Orders packaging supplies, office supplies, equipment and materials for the distribution center.

  • Purchases materials based on approved purchase requisitions

  • Prepares purchase orders (PO’s) for routine purchases and follows-up with vendor

  • Reconciles invoices against purchase orders prior to payment.

  • Interacts with vendors of facility services, equipment and vending machines; handles service calls

  • Ad-hoc reporting as required

  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

  • Keeps supervisor informed of any problem areas.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education & Knowledge

Requires a high school education and high level knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Knowledge of Masterpack and Kronos programs is preferred.

Experience

Requires 4+ years of business experience in customer service and administrative or related activities preferably in a distribution environment.
