The NationalAccounts Manager develops, manages, and supports the sales activities for defined national account customer(s). Proposes and executes strategies and programs and coordinates field operations for resets to achieve maximum sales volume and margin potential from account(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates close working relationships with Home Depot key personnel at all levels.

  • Directly manages the Daltile and Marazzi brand & Homedepot.com business in excess of $300M. Works with Home Center marketing and HCS operations to coordinate field operations for resets.

  • Provide guidance to Dal-Tile Puerto Rico team to ensure all product, pricing, SKU data and programs are in compliance with HCS and Home Depot guidelines and requirements.

  • Provides support to the Director of Sales to achieve annual and long-range goals and objectives.

  • Builds strong relationships with Home Depot RMMs to identify new opportunities and ensure bay and product execution in the field.

  • Takes on a leadership role in direct account management in the absence of the Director of Sales.

  • Collaborates with Director of Sales on strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals; including sales, margins, and profits.

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, product pricing, and programs using competitive shops and POD data.

  • Takes a proactive position with HCS product planning team to ensure The Home Depot IPR team is informed of potential fill rate issues. Work directly with IPR team to adjust CAR parameters to prevent fill rate dropping below the required 98% level.

  • Analyzes sales statistics with Home Depot Strategic Marketing team to identify trends and opportunities to assist home center customer(s) in promoting sales.

  • Participates with Dal-Tile HCS team to develop and implement home center programs and coordinate annual Home Depot Store Managers set up and meeting.

  • Recommends product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from programs.

  • Creates and delivers sales presentations to communicate results and opportunities to drive sales and profitability.

  • Monitors and evaluates the sales programs and products of the competition to build a competitive advantage.

  • Works with JDA space management software when needed, to develop, implement, maintain and make recommendations for plan-o-gram displays, packaging and program changes to maximize use of bay space and drive SKU sales velocity.

  • Sets up new skus in Home Depot system as needed. Prepares periodic sales reports for senior leadership showing sales volume, potential sales, and possible areas of expansion.

  • Directs and interfaces with store service organizations for program compliance and coordinates resets. Monitors service to maximize success of on-going programs.

Qualifications:

Education & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience.

  • Expertise and/or working knowledge of home center business practices preferred.

  • Knowledge of ceramic tile and/or hard surface flooring industry preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 or more year’s sales and/or management experience with concentration in Home Centers.

Competencies:

  • Leadership, organizational and sales skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation, problem solving and the ability to multi-task.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
