The SAP Maintenance Data Management Mgr. will support maintenance process improvement activities through effective SAP data entry, knowledge of SAP maintenance module, and clerical support to build functional processes for maintenance execution. Position is focused on high-volume data entry to establish master data structure for maintenance labor and materials necessary to enable key functionalities.

Responsibilities:

  • Create master data for Plant Maintenance Functional location, Equipment, Work center, Task lists, BOM…

  • Update and edit functional locations to appropriate detail to build process and equipment structure in SAP

  • Edit and update maintenance plans in SAP with focus on labor & materials resource utilization and effective work execution

  • Respond to requests from stakeholders for changes to, or creation of master data records and managing the requests through a formal process of validation and approval

  • Assist with Analysis and resolution of issues with master data

  • Work closely with the business units to help identify data cleansing opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with the business units to assure the Master Data structure and data is entered and maintained in a timely fashion using the most efficient, effective and accurate methods.

  • Provide training and guidance to cross functional teams on master data processes and the impact of master data across the various functions within our software systems

  • Contribute on Master Data Management (MDM) process improvements, monitoring, follow-up on key performance indicators, etc.to come up with business opportunities

  • Knowledge of Maintenance processes and practices

  • Other CMMS system knowledge (JDE, CMM, etc.) is a plus

  • Provide clerical and data entry support to Maintenance department as directed

  • Should be able to handle potential Centralized SAP maintenance system planning

  • Couch and train all Dal-Tile plant team members SAP Maintenance system users as needed

  • Analyze problems that arise and determine actions that will minimize the problems, decrease costs and/or improve yields, recommend changes, upon approval, implement those changes

  • Keeps manager informed of any problem areas.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Knowledge:

  • College or Technical degree in Engineering, Electronics or related field highly preferred High school diploma and five plus years of maintenance supervisory experience may substitute for a degree. Three or more years of technical supervisor experience required. Knowledge of electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electronic equipment and systems required.

Experience:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years industrial maintenance experience and prior supervisory experience required.

Competencies:

  • Core competencies include good communication and problem solving skills, mathematical aptitude, data analysis and interpretation, and ability to prioritize. Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Strong/Proven interpersonal skills a must. Effective and persuasive communications skills both written and verbal required.
