Mohawk Industries Project Manager in DALLAS, Texas


We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Dal-Tile team in Dallas, TX

Established in 1947, Dal-Tile is a Dallas-based manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tile. Operating nine manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico, the company employs approximately 10,000 people. The company's products go to market through three distinct channels: company-operated sales service centers(SSC’s), independent distributors and home center retailers.


  • Directing all project management activities according to national assignment

  • Manage project budgets and maintain monthly forecasts and cash flow analysis

  • Oversee project implementation and execution through completion of construction

  • Preferred experience in ground-up projects including programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting and construction management

  • Oversee capital improvement/asset preservation programs at multiple sites.

  • Develop project budget including hard costs and soft costs and firm knowledge of construction cost/benefit analysis.

  • Provide technical support; project budgeting and scheduling including Dal-Tile’s goals & objectives, site improvements, entitlements & permits, consultant selection; design team management, schedule creation and management, contractor selection and management, financial management including cash flows and budget reports.

  • Assemble and manage required teams of consultants and contractors.

  • Negotiate contracts with each vendor

  • Interface with architects, Dal-Tile stakeholders, property managers and vendors

  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and manage conflict resolution

  • Provide appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met.

  • Develop relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and evaluate their performance.

  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk (budget or Schedule impacts, errors and omissions, etc.) to Director of Construction.

  • Assist Construction Director in the establishment and refinement of best practices of standards of excellence.

  • Assist in training and developing Dal-Tile team members in the skills and understanding of firm procedures, methodology and practices expected for a successful project implementation.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all Dal-Tile technology as required for assigned projects.

  • Comply with all Dal-Tile policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.

  • Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional manner and computer literacy



  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture or construction management strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in managing design and construction of multiple retail or industrial projects across a broad geography.

  • Minimum resume of multiple projects for all elements of construction including programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting and construction management, equipment coordination & installation.


Beneficial Licenses or Accreditations (e.g., AIA, PMP, LEED AP)


  • Position will work on site at client’s location with daily client and contractor interaction

  • Face to face and remote daily interpersonal interaction is required in order to perform the job


  • Work hours typically M-F with weekends as needed.

  • Travel as needed and may range from 0-4 nights per week.
